MadLab Arts & Technology Pilot Programme

Arts & Technology Pilot Programme

Posted by Asa Calow, 3 months ago

Manufacturing and production are changing; the UK’s digital making movement is established and growing…

MadLab has been selected by Innovate UK and Arts Council England (along with Near Now and Makerversity) to deliver a new Arts and Technology pilot programme, a creative practice accelerator, for artists working with new & emerging technologies. Running from January until June 2016, the programme comprises:

  • Bespoke professional and business development with a focus on digital making – workshops, masterclasses and one-on-one practical guidance – building on MadLab’s existing programmes and in-house expertise.
  • Mentoring, drawing on MadLab’s international network of expert art-science-technologists and creative entrepreneurs – everyone from philanthropist Bill Liao (SOS Ventures: Hax, IndieBio) and Indiegogo’s Anastasia Emmanuel through to pre-eminent hacker Mitch Altman, Professor Daniel Charny and The Arts Catalyst’s Nicola Triscott.
  • 24/7 access to physical resources & studio space in the newly renovated MadLab, including our digital makers workshop and community biotechnology lab.

We’re working hard behind the scenes and will have more information on the programme – including how to apply – soon. In the meantime, please register your interest by joining the programme’s mailing list:
