We are a group of 3d printing hobbists and enthusiasts who own, or are looking to build a home 3d printer.
Whether its a RepRap, Makerbot, Ultimaker, or PP3DP you’re most interested in, come along and share your experiences and ideas.
Our second meeting will have our usual 3D printing chatter, with the addition of talks on the current 3D printing software ecosystem, including Modelling, Slicing and Host software.

Hi – I’m a designer-maker, lots of web experience but not very techy… but I’m very interested in the possible use of 3D printers to make shoe soles so I can make shoes to fit people. I have no idea if the plastics used in 3D printers would be suitable but guess they might, and I don’t want to invest time and money building a printer if it won’t work. I wonder if anyone in the 3DPUG group might like a project to help me find out, and get paid (something, not a huge amount). My guess is that if it works, there’s a market for the product! Please would you share this request with the group? Thanks!
