A Walked and Recorded Journey – live transmission

Interval presents….a real-time sound piece documenting a 50-mile walk in the Lake District by artists Adam Clarke and Zoe Anderson. The walk will present an audio stream of the artists’ footsteps within the landscape.

“Following Anthropologist Christopher Tilley’s research into landscape we are seeking to discover phenomenologies within landscape. Our point being that you cannot discover landscape through paintings and books, that the word ‘atmosphere’ does not exist as documentation.”

A live transmission will be present at Mima, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art & MadLab, Manchester. 12 noon 28th July – 12 noon 29th July.

For the presentation at MadLab the main window has been adapted and turned into a speaker for the 24 hour duration.
