December saw the second Manchester Clojure Dojo, hosted again at the madlab. This time rather the Dojo dived right in to some introductory exercises as we worked through the exercises in the excellent Clojure teaching environment, labrepl.
There were a few hiccups along the way as Asa tried to get labrepl setup within the Eclipse IDE. Fortunately some of the other attendees had quickly resolved the issue by clicking a few checkboxes.
This was the first time many of the attendees had grappled with Clojure head-on, and despite it being an unfamiliar language, everyone made great progress moving quickly through the exercises.
If you’re interested in learning Clojure, Rick is giving another introductory talk on Programming Clojure this Thursday (20th January) at the North West Ruby Users Group.
Stay tuned for details on the next Clojure Dojo.
