Fashion Hackers

Title: Fashion Hackers
Location: MadLab
Description: The Fashion Hackers are a group of crafty individuals who knit, sew, make and remake fashionable one-of-a-kind pieces to sell to raise money for Oxfam. Come along to get involved and show off your skills or learn new ones
Start Time: 19:00
Date: 2011-02-24
End Time: 21:30

Fashion Hackers is a charitable, creative group for those wanting to do alternative fashion. The concept behind the idea is to up – cycle Oxfam clothes donations that cannot be sold in store, by cutting apart, redesigning and sewing the clothes back together so that they can be sold back in store. It allows donations that would have ended up being mashed up into pulp, to make an actual profit for those who desperately need it. It runs once a month, and you can stay as long or as short a time as possible.

  1. Hi,

Is it possible i could get the email for the folks organising this? Strikes me they might be able to help or advise about a costume for the great manchester run.

I would love to join in. What do I need to bring with me? Do I need to book for this?

  4. Erica says:

No, just yourself. But if you do want to bring some old clothes/accessories feel free, but everything made will go back to be sold in Oxfam. Hopefully see you there.
