First Freelance Friday review

On the very first Freelance Friday  (3rd of June) we had freelancers come to work upstairs at the MadLab. It was good to see some old and new faces on our trial event.

Freelancers took over the top floor where we had plenty of power, tea, coffee and an assorted array of baked goods. Although no one this Friday made use of it, the downstairs is open as a chill out, hang out, refresh area. Bring your own books or browse through the mounds of tech books and WIRED magazines we have on offer.

For lunch you can eat at the local Common bar, Home Sweet Home or get sandwich at Bread & Butter, all on Edge street. You are also very welcome to use MadLab kitchen to prepare food. We have stocked up the fridges with bottles of water £1, fizzy cans 50p, Marble beers £3 so please don’t pay cafe/bar prices *come to us!*

This is great opportunity to network with other Freelancers, and meet new people.

We would like to say a very big thank you to helpers, and people who came along to first Freelance Friday, and we hope to see you every Friday @jules_shaw @phillyharper @strontiumdogg @bobop @smescrater @asacalow

MadLab is situated in the heart of the Northern Quarter, a few minutes walk from the city centre. A £5 flat fee gives you open Wifi, unlimited tea and coffee, and a breakfast buffet off crumpets and croissants.
