HAC:Manchester is a Hackspace Group, a community-run arts, science and technology club. We run weekly drop-in workshop sessions, providing electronics, mechanical and computing knowledge, and tools for personal and group projects.
Our aim is to provide a space where people can work on their projects, hang out socially to talk about making things, plot world domination and work together to develop their collective skills.

Please is it suitable to come to ask how to link up my little kit for a Movement Sensor to some kind of MP3 player that will play a birdsong when I come into the room?
I can’t work out the music player bit of it.
Also want to work on PICS next year ie. microcontrollers.
We’re big fans of Arduino here, which is very forgiving platform to work with and has a massive ecosystem of community, code, libraries and expansions. We run a few courses aimed at introducing people to it at the omniversity as well.
