This group meet will have a very special guest photographer Jonathan Stead who has studios in Sheffield. Jonathan is interested in historic photographic processes. He also makes his own cameras and runs workshops.
A quote from Jonathan’s Website:
‘I work with a variety of cameras, processes and techniques including pinhole, single-element lens, large format and hand-made or adapted cameras. I often create new, or adapt existing cameras to achieve a particular image or series of images. My cameras are an artists working tools, carefully fashioned to accomplish a specific task – no more, no less.’
Some of the group were set experiments with film at the last group meet and will be revealing the results!

Hi,
Any photographer interested in alternative techniques might also be interested in a new photograpic process using UV light, a negative, and a plate of bacteria:

Might be worth linking up with one of the MadLab microbiology groups, e.g. DIY-Bio?
Best wishes,
