We don’t have much money but would be a high profile project to show off the your talents and wonders of wordpress my details can be found on our website so give us a call if anyone wants to take on the challenge. Hello, I wonder if you can help. I live in Manchester and have been running a blog for around 6 months. All was going well until yesterday when I encountered a problem and managed to lose my entire site in the process of attempting to fix it. I was hoping you will be able to put me in contact with someone who can help me resolve this problem.

I don’t have a massive budget so I don’t want to approach a digital agency but am happy to pay a reasonable hourly rate. I’m hoping it wouldn’t take that long for someone more technically experienced than me!

To give you an idea of the problem – I was previously using a free WordPress app with my host. Yesterday I experienced an upgrade error which I tried to resolve but my site went offline so I decided to reinstall WordPress manually. The install was successful and I imported my old mysql database from backup but the new site does not access any of my old posts. I am not getting any database error messages so I presume it must be connecting to the database but unable to read the information.

As I installed wordpress in the root directory this time (when using the free app it installs all the files in a subdirectory) I thought the url change may be an issue so I have since reinstalled the free application but I still have the same problem.

Any contacts or advice on who else I can approach would be much appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Lorraine
