Title: NWDUG
Location: New Federation House (see below for details)
Description: The North West Drupal User Group meets once a month at MadLab and features expert help and demonstrations.

Date: 03-09-2014
From 19:00 to 21:00

This month we have Lorna Mitchell who will be talking about the OOP for Drupal Developers.
———————–
A practical, no-rhetoric session on what objects are and why they might be useful to developers. We’ll start with a little theory and then move on quickly to some practical examples of what you’ll see in an OOP PHP project. From classes, objects and inheritance, we’ll move on to file structure and autoloading code in PHP.

This session will also cover more advanced concepts such as traits and interfaces, and discuss how they allow us to build more powerful, flexible applications with less code to maintain. Developers who attend this session will be able to tackle their next OOP project with confidence.
———————–

After the talk we normally break off into groups so that people can talk through their Drupal problems with other members of the group. There is nothing formal planned for this, we will just ask if anyone has any problems and if anyone can help them solve it.

We usually wrap things up before 9:00 PM and move to a pub. Come along and join in the Drupal fun!
