Scythe Workshops* Sat. 17 July (10am – 4.00pm)
Scything workshops for beginners and skilled; use and care of a scythe, peening, sharpening, etc., and scything difficult upland meadows and orchards.
Tutors: Christiane Lechner, Paul Kingsnorth and Steve Tomlin.

Scything Festival – Anyone can do it! Sun. 18 July (2pm – 5pm)
Family open day and displays; learn basic scything skills; scythe clinic - bring along your old scythes for sharpening; hay rope making, etc.
Children’s eco-art workshops, refreshments, country crafts displays.
ACCESS & PARKING NB Entrance to the Festival fields is via the Elterwater - Chapelstile top road. Parking only at the Elterwater Common public car park.
