Stygian Arts

Title: Stygian Arts
Location: MadLab
Description: Meeting of the new group “Stygian Arts”, an offshoot of the Manchester Gothic Lifestyles meetup group.
Start Time: 13:00
Date: 2010-04-11
End Time: 16:00

Meeting of the new group “Stygian Arts”, an offshoot of the Manchester Gothic Lifestyles meetup group, which turned out to have a lot of talented and creative people who wanted to meet to discuss & practice arts and crafts, cross fertilise ideas and transfer skills between ourselves (and of course have a good time doing it). The membership runs from 18 to 80, and includes people from all walks of life. The plan is that people can get together, show their work if they want to, share whatever skills they have, etc. At the first meeting we found members interested in poetry, performance arts, painting, pen & ink, sketching, photography, digital art, web design, music, knitting & sewing, glasswork, pottery, felting, and lots more. This is not just for Goth / alternative folks – all welcome to join in, just bring a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
This meeting will be partly to decide how the members would like see the group develop.
