This month we’ll be having a pre event social at the Common Bar on Edge Street and then we’ll make the dangerous trek to the MadLab across the road to get started with our posing and sketching. Come along, have fun and chill.

If you just want to come to draw, the first sketching session will start at 18:45. We will also be hosting a plushie making workshop after the sketching sessions, so do stick around for some crafty fun!

For more information, you contact us by email or send us a tweet.

Have a look at what we got up to at our previous Cosplay Sketch-offs…

Come along to the MancsterCon, a convention showcasing the best in indie sequential art in the North West. Whether you’re into comics, manga, graphic novels, animation or anime, it doesn’t matter – this convention is just for you!

As well as the chance to buy art and comics from local publishers and creators, like the ever amazing Travelling Man, there will also be a series of talks, workshops and a full on barcamp where anyone can get the chance to share their passion with fellow comic and animation fans. Cosplay catwalks, cupcakes, sketch competitions and art auctions; with so much going on, you definitely don’t want to miss out!

There are still some tables left, so if you’d be interested in exhibiting, contact mancstercon@gmail for more details, or buy yourself a stallholders ticket. Attendee tickets bought through eventbrite will cover the whole event which will include a preview party and screening on the 2nd August.

All funds raised will go to the MadLab an open space for the tinkerers, hackers and dreamers of the Northern Quarter.
