Join us to find out more about the Open Badges project. Developed by Mozilla, Open Badges are an infrastructure to provide accreditation of skills:
Learning today happens everywhere. But it’s often difficult to get recognition for skills and achievements that happen online or out of school. Mozilla Open Badges helps solve that problem, making it easy for any organization to issue, manage and display digital badges across the web.
This is the first meeting to look at Open Badges for Manchester. Joining us will be:
- Doug Belshaw from the Mozilla Foundation (see video below)
- The teams from MakeWaves and Digital Me (based in Leeds), who are already using Open Badges.
- Tech activist Mick Fuzz, who has also designed a badge for the Peer2Peer University.

In the meantime, check Doug’s video explanation of Badges, plus the Badges blog.
