UCubed 2011 was a big success, and we have YOU to thank!
The range of talks was impressive, as was the attendees enthusiasm for taking part.
Dan Lynch’s keynote was particularly well received, generating a follow on discussion led by Ian Forrester.
Jon Chamberlain’s talk on editing video using Linux was interesting, highlighting a few key mistakes made by keen amateur editors. but more importantly advising us that the video must tell a story.
Other than Dan’s keynote, the two other big draws were Dave Gilbert’s talk on Vi, and Robie Basak’s talk on debian packaging.
Blackpool LUG were present, and ran a Debian Demo Area, showcasing the various Debian distributions that are available. Tony, Heeed and Arran ran the area, with Aijaz providing support and advice
