Manchester Bipolar Youth Support Group

Bipolar UK’s groups for 18-25 year olds provide an opportunity to meet other young people who are going through similar situations.

The groups are a safe space for discussions and are a place to share experiences, learn more about bipolar and manage the condition.

What is a Youth Support Group?

The support groups are open to anyone who is 18-25 years old and affected by bipolar.

They provide:

  • A regular support network
  • A friendly, confidential and accepting environment
  • Peer support through group discussion
  • Useful information
  • Guidance on managing mood swings

All the sessions:

  • Are confidential
  • Are free
  • Are non-committal
  • Do not require booking

The Manchester Youth Group is facilitated by our Youth Officer, Emma, and there are no doctors or medical professionals present (unless they have been invited to speak).

Who comes to the groups?

Anyone who is 18-25 years old and is affected by bipolar is welcome to join the groups.

We have a wide range of people who attend the groups, including those who:

  • have a diagnosis of bipolar
  • are concerned about their mood swings
  • are friends of someone who has bipolar

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month between 7pm and 9pm.
