Posted by Team MadLab, about 1 year ago

Want to have a go at 3D printing, but don’t know where to start? Then join MadLab in Rochdale for this free workshop and drop-in session covering all the basics you’ll need to get going.

Thursday 8th March at Rochdale Central Library – 11:00 am – 2:00 pm workshop followed by a drop-in technical surgery and self-directed learning from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm

You’ll get the chance to get hands-on with 3D printing and design, including designing a 3D model, preparing a 3D file for printing, and watching a live demonstration of a 3D print being created on the Ultimaker 2+.  Join us at a drop-in session to get specific help and advice for your own project, chat with our tutors about any specific questions related to 3D printing that you have, or simply hang out and learn.

You can sign up to either, or both – depending on your experience. If you’d like to reserve a place, follow the links above or drop MadLab a line at

As an added bonus, workshop participants will also receive a free three-month basic membership to MadFabLab!

These sessions are part of Manchester Libraries’ Big Ideas Generators programme. BIG supports innovation and enterprise across the 10 Greater Manchester (GM) library authorities.
