The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has just announced a new microgrants pilot programme in Barrow-in-Furness inspired by an idea pitched to them by MadLab. Rather than wait weeks or months for funding, community groups can now apply for small grants in person to the HLF – and receive an on-the-spot answer.
