Manchester Grey Hats

Manchester Grey Hats is a place for all those interested in hacking and cyber security to learn and share. We’ll be running capture the flags, workshops and presenting security research. We encourage all skill levels and those from all backgrounds. Are you an aspiring hacker or a developer thinking about security? Come along and learn. Presenting is open to all members, so if you have something you’d like to present but aren’t ready for the big conferences, get in contact.

 This Month:

There will be a short introduction to Frida – an instrumentation framework that used to inject javascript into running applications. This can aid in rapidly reversing and patching applications (mobile and desktop). Practice binaries will be released closer to the time.

This will be interactive so bring laptops configured with Frida (

Depending on time, there will be a few tools every hacker should know; namely a rubber ducky ( and lock picks and simple locks to practice on.
