Makers in Space

Makers in Space is a DIY space technology initiative which aims to make space exploration accessible and fun for makers and hackers from across the UK and beyond.

What started off as a six-month plan, micro-funded by the UK Space Agency and starting with a high-altitude balloon launch in Autumn 2014 has now developed into the Manchester Space Programme with a series of balloon launches scheduled in 2015, a programme of activities for schools in the works and (eventually) the launch of our very own Arduino-powered CubeSat.

If you’re interested in the Manchester Space Programme, please email, or join the Google Group for more information and regular updates.
