Taking place in Autumn-Winter 2021, OK-PK-UK is a season-long R&D programme to find and develop new digital arts talent in Pakistan – connecting a new generation of artist-technologists with some of the most well-respected and exciting creative innovators from the UK, Pakistan, and around the world.

The OK-PK-UK programme consists of the following action research:

• Weekly online masterclasses with cutting-edge artists who are using unexpected digital tools and techniques such as 3D games engines, virtual currencies, and telepresent theatre to create new and exciting original works.
• Two guided Experimental Play weeks for those getting started with the new digital arts toolbox: creative coding, electronics, projection mapping, artificial intelligence, and more.
• Transnational residencies, pairing 12 UK and Pakistani artists, to further develop their practice and co-develop new digital works.
  

The programme will culminate in an online creative showcase and two-day mini-festival, bringing together fresh voices and perspectives, and exploring emergent themes.

OK-PK-UK is the latest exciting collaboration with our longstanding award-winning creative partners at Numaish Karachi, and is supported by the British Council's Digital Collaboration Fund.
